Venturing to Tilburg

This was taken at the really great Dutch Museum of Textiles in Tilburg. Despite the web information which suggested that Tilburg is the crime capital of the Netherlands, and the graffiti on the way into town which reads "Welcome to Tilburg - prepare to meet your doom" - I've had a nice time whilst Mr D talked about libraries to the international summer school here. The hotel is lovely and Tilburg itself, whilst not a holiday destination, has the fab textile museum and a great modern art gallery called Du Pont which is huge and really good. All the people (especially at the Textile Museum) were really helpful, tolerant of my lack of dutch and super friendly. Hitting the road to Brussels tomorrow.... cheap and cheerful hotel with no 'tinternet!
